We are in need of a new Director of Workforce Planning Special Projects. This individual will provide guidance on workforce planning standard methodologies and lead a series of critical enterprise wide strategic workforce planning projects. This opportunity will shape meaningful change at Nike, Inc. In addition to providing workforce planning project leadership, we are searching for a leader who will provide support to the Head of Strategic Workforce Planning in shaping the workforce strategy and laying out the foundations for the optimal mix of people, process, technology data and governance for Nike’s newly created Strategic Workforce Planning function. Success will require a combination of people strategy, analytics, advising and program and project management skills along with a background in strategic workforce planning.



Initially your focus will be on collaborating across the company (Business, HR, Finance) on a critical organizational wide workforce planning governance initiative. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to implement a new process for establishing, tracking, and embedding key workforce planning metrics into the operating rhythm of the business. Longer term, you will identify and lead various enterprise-wide strategic workforce planning projects and initiatives focused on building an optimal future workforce structure at Nike.

In this position, you’ll spend a lot of time leading projects, creating communications, inspiring change and being an evangelist for strategic workforce planning at Nike. In addition, you will support the broader team with your expertise in workforce planning by creating methodologies, templates, and guides to enable business functions with data analysis, identification of workforce gaps/ variances, and development of mitigation plans. Providing analyses through modeling and projections across various workforce dimensions with related implications, you’ll ensure data collection and interpret/evaluate workforce metrics. You’ll craft executive communications to advise and influence finance, HR and business leaders on workforce plan decisions, including facilitating meetings for that purpose. Furthermore, you’ll conduct environmental scans, labor market studies, scenario planning and modeling to assess forces that will affect the size, location, and shape of the workforce.



Reporting directly to the Sr Directory, Head of Strategic Workforce Planning, this person will partner with Nike leaders on projects that deliver strategic, high-impact, data-informed workforce strategy and planning insights.
