As a member of a fun and close-knit Product Management team, you will understand user behavior, analyze data, identify trends, create strategies, lead cross-functional programs, measure impact, and drive wide-scale product implementation. You will collaborate with best-in-class content and curriculum experts as well as designers and engineers who build leading educational technology solutions using the latest technology. You will partner with Sales and Marketing to establish solid go-to market strategies for new and/or existing products in a time of rapid growth and acceleration. Our Product Managers are the leaders and public champions of our products who help bring the Edmentum strategy and vision to life.


Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Market Strategy
  • Performs market analysis, gathers competitive intelligence, builds business cases, directs financial analysis, and oversees cross-functional execution for new product launches.
  • Develops a successful and fiscally sound product line strategy, including product definition, positioning, and schedules.
  • Maintains a deep understanding of the K-12 educational market and competition. Collects and synthesizes market, competitive, legislative, and customer trends to ensure that product and service offerings align and drive strategic objectives, satisfying market needs as well as financial targets.
  • Identifies incremental and new market and growth opportunities; substantiating through business case development.
  • Make recommendations for updates, revisions of, and extensions to, existing products, including new features, content, pricing, positioning, and operational models.
  • Collaborate with partnership management to maintain existing, and source new partnerships and affiliations that enhance the functionality and marketability of our products
  • Work with Product Marketing on go-to-market strategy for new product or solution.
  • Product Leadership
  • Ability to analyze, summarize, and synthesize numerous and varied inputs to a cohesive, engaging, and profitable vision
  • Ability to think and act strategically while demonstrating the tactical and hands-on skills necessary to drive the delivery of high-quality curriculum products
  • Collaborates with Product Management and cross-functional leadership in the development of product strategies for meeting company objectives.
  • Support and assist in leading product and portfolio cross-functional decision making. Responsible for supporting business case(s) for investment decisions.
  • Manage proactive communications with relevant stakeholders from strategy through execution.
  • Build an effective relationship and team between Product Management, Engineering, and Content Development
  • Experience leveraging data and analytics to drive internal and customer value
  • Communication

  • Maintains strong, ongoing channels of communication with Research & Learning Engineering, Learning Design, Content Operations, Engineering, and other internal departments.
  • Works with development and user experience teams to create products which deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Business Strategy
  • Analyzes financial performance of products, including capital investment, revenue, and profitability
  • Displays practical business sense, fiscal skills and accountability
  • Support the strategic vision and plan for products in order to achieve or exceed strategic goals for market share, top-line, and profit growth.
  • Perform objective analysis of potential market opportunities to provide a basis for investment, articulating market learnings and quantifying the risk, including a financial model.
  • Establish a pricing model, schedules, guidelines and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to determine how well the product is performing in the market, how it impacts the company operations, and ultimately, how it contributes to profit.
  • Product Lifecycle
  • Manage product planning and development activities in collaboration with technical and content development teams
  • Works cross-functionally to train, ready, and support the organizations responsible for products.
  • Develops commercially successful curriculum solutions (including software, digital, print, and professional development offerings) which deliver
  • Serves as product expert across the organization
  • Provides support for the sales and services enablement process
  • Research
  • Collaborates with Product Analysts and other Product Managers to set goals for research activities.
  • Partners with Research and Services teams to implement efficacy studies, user studies, and pilots


Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, computer science or an equivalent field OR equivalent level of work experience
  • MBA preferred
  • Extensive experience in education curriculum products required
  • 5+ years of experience in product management
  • 3+ years of experience in leading teams in a highly matrixed, highly cross-functional organization.
  • 3+ years of experience interacting with customers, strategic partners, and cross-functional groups to understand market and business needs
  • 3+ years of demonstrated success in developing and launching new market and new vertical product lines
