Position: Vice President and Corporate Counsel

Purpose: To provide legal advice in all matters with respect to business initiatives pursued by OneTeam. This position supports a broad range of general corporate matters and business operations. A proactive, solution-oriented approach, attention to detail and superior analytical skills are essential. A core obligation of this role is to help OneTeam fortify its current business and expand to meet new opportunity. Significant transactional experience is a must.

Reports to: Managing Director and Chief Legal Officer



  • Draft and negotiate contracts across the OneTeam business. This includes:
  • investments, mergers and acquisitions
  • retail, product, content and promotional licenses
  • content production, broadcast and distribution, digital media, television and online programming
  • software, database systems (including custom apps, social media platforms, digital marketing, computer systems and data collection/management)
  • event-related (e.g., venue, hotel, event management, agency, talent) agreements
  • terms of use and privacy policies
  • contest and sweepstakes documentation
  • confidentiality, consent and release agreements
  • Manage transaction flow, as well as forms database
  • Assist in developing strategies, including by providing legal value-add related to business opportunity
  • Operate and maintain brand protection and enforcement program, including managing relationships for same with our shareholders
  • Review and advise on organizational press releases and public statements
  • Attend to insurance-related compliance matters
  • Assist with special projects for management, including with respect to Board meetings
  • Attend and represent OneTeam at various meetings, as requested
  • Advise on and oversee regulatory compliance matters and corporate policies
  • Remain informed about current legislation in connection with OneTeam business
  • Other projects and duties as assigned



  • Juris Doctor degree with excellent academic credentials
  • Large law firm background
  • Good standing with the bar association in the jurisdiction in which admitted
  • Minimum 5 years of corporate transactional experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Effective research skills
  • Experience with intellectual property, licensing, media, securities instruments, entertainment law, and corporate governance
  • Ability to work independently or with a team
  • Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, public speaking skills
  • Adaptability and attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organizational qualifications
  • Professional attitude and strong personal ethics
  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach to resolving issues
  • DC preferred, though position is open to remote work
